Harmony@Senja
Significance / Uniqueness of Harmony@Senja:
This is a Community collaboration between 3 parties (West Spring Secondary, Zhenghua-Senja RC, North West District) with 3 key "Harmony Objectives" over 2 key Celebrations.
1. Inter-Racial Harmony :
a. Involvement of non-Chinese, in the celebration of Chinese New Year (CNY)
i. Malay pupils playing Guzheng;
ii. Non-Chinese pupils & parents giving mandarin oranges to Senja Grand residents with MP/Holland Bukit Timah GRC, Mr Liang Eng Hwa
iii. Malay Kompang & Silat welcome for MP
b. Flyers in 4 Languages given to residents
2. Environmental Harmony
a. Pupils spread the "Green" Message to residents of Senja Grand on this CNY occasion with regard to re-cycling, proper disposal of batteries & dengue prevention
3. Community Harmony
a. Pupils promote community cohesion and understanding with residents.
